Forget Destin and Pensacola, with their huge obtrusive condos and city-like traffic jams, where it can take 20 minutes to go a couple of blocks: here, traffic jams consist of dolphins, birds, and stars. The building codes will not permit any structure above three stories and your only stress will be choosing the activity of the day from the endless choices available.
Our small community boasts miles and miles of white sand beaches. Whether it’s hours of quiet solitude or activities in the great outdoors that you crave, we have a little something for everyone. The Forgotten Coast truly is the place where every day feels like the weekend. Your most prized memories are here waiting to be made.
Choose your fishing spot on our beach, or go deep sea fishing in the St. Joseph Bay, and (with a guide if you want one) river fishing, lake fishing, scalloping in the bay, or blue crab fishing in the creeks along the shoreline. Bring or buy a fishing throw net and catch your live shrimp for bait or a meal. I personally have caught eight different species of fish from the shore in front of 2 and 3 Palms.
Water sports abound! Kayaking (4 Available at Two Palms), 2 stand-up boards, snorkeling, scuba diving, Boat Rentals at Port St. Joe Marina (sailboat or motorboat). Surf the waters of Cape San Blas! There are surf boards, boogie boards, paddle boards or just go the old-fashioned way with body surfing. Enjoy golfing, biking trails, horseback riding on the beach, eco-tours, bird watching, collecting seashells, taking a hot air balloon ride in Apalachicola, or visit the cute shop and stores in the area.
Visit St Joe Peninsula State Park for a nature hike or rent a bike and go out to the tip of the park that is only accessible by foot or boat. Visit historic Apalachicola, with its fine restaurants, antiques, shopping and bed and breakfasts, sample some of their world-renowned Oysters.
Speaking of oysters, within one mile of Two Palms is the world-famous Indian Pass Raw Bar featured in the New York Times. This 70-year-old institution is renowned for its fresh sweet oysters, shrimp, giant crab legs, and jambalaya. Many nights at the Raw Bar folks just hang out in the parking lot enjoying their favorite beverage and impromptu music.
Walk the beaches, and some days never see another human being. Watch the Dolphins joyfully plane in the surf, the pelicans diving for shrimp, the eagles flying above, and a potpourri of wildlife that makes this area a truly magnificent and naturally preserved Sanctuary, second to none. Speaking of second to none, wait until you see the sunsets. This is truly a family place where folks can Reconnect and bond with each other for lifelong memories.

“All-Time Favorite By Far!”
Kathy M. – New York
Date of Stay: April 2020
My family has been visiting Cape San Blas for 20 years, probably two visits a year on average. We have enjoyed many of the 20+ beach homes we’ve reserved over the years, but our hands-down, all-time favorite by far is the fabulous Two Palms villa. The photos on the site do not display the true beauty of the home and beach, this is one you have to see to believe. The location is perfect, with unobstructed views of the Gulf from the floor-to-ceiling living room windows, a wide expanse of pristine, uncrowded white sand – no neighbors to the left – and a short walk to the tidal paradise of Money Bayou (The crabbing! The Egrets! The shells!)
Our hosts Peter and Lydia and their incredibly considerate and attentive concierge staff ensured that we had every possible comfort and amenity, and checked on us frequently to ask if we had everything we needed (we did!) They made sure we knew about all the activities available on the Cape and in nearby Port St. Joe – fishing cruises, oyster harvesting, golf cart rentals, horseback riding on the beach…..just amazing. We were spoiled rotten.
The home itself has been virtually rebuilt after hurricane Michael, with an expansive new deck and boardwalk (with three showers and built-in bench seating!) and a brand-new bedroom and bath for the kids, complete with a wide-screen wall TV and tucked-in loft bed to create the perfect cozy fort! You will want for nothing – everything you could possibly need has been provided. Loads of kitchen appliances, new surround-sound system, Sony radio and CD player to fill the home with your favorite beach music, plush beach towels, luxury sheets, bedding, and bath towels, and well-stocked bathroom soaps and supplies.
The outside is even more stunning, with a huge new sundeck and screened-in porch and amenities galore: a ramp from the covered parking area to the deck, new enclosed outdoor shower under the deck, a large picnic table, ring-toss game, two shuffleboard courts, a horseshoe pit, two kayaks, two stand-up paddle-boards, a crab trap, 10+ beach chairs, umbrellas, and enough deck furniture and lounges to seat 20 people in luxurious comfort on the three porches.
The new deck has a shaded area with a new picnic table, two grills (charcoal and gas) and a six-person sunken hot tub, the ideal spot for relaxing and stargazing. Plenty of benches and deck chairs to enjoy while grilling your fresh fish or steaks as the sun sinks below the horizon, painting the sky. So many separate areas to “hide,” even a large family will find their own private space to create a personal retreat.
Grill and chill with your family and guests while watching the sunset over the Gulf, what could be better than that? Did I mention the private screened-in deck off the master bedroom? Such a lovely spot to enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail, with a 180 degree birds-eye view of the ocean and abundant wildlife. Fish right in front of the house while lounging on the beach and watching the dolphin for hours. The kids (and dogs) will love exploring Money Bayou and nearby calm, shallow tidal pool. You can kayak from here through the lush marshes to the bay for bird-watching, fishing, crabbing and swimming.
We fell in love with the place, and appreciated all the thoughtful touches the owners have invested in the home to create the perfect beach retreat and peaceful respite from the outside world. We never wanted to leave and cannot wait to return. It is unforgettable and are now “ruined” for other Cape beach homes after our dream vacation at Two Palms. Visit as soon as you can and stay as long as possible you’ll never regret it. May it remain unchanged forever!
BEST VACATION EVER!

Date of Stay: July 11, 2020 – July 18, 2020
We stayed at Two-Palms on July 11-18 2020. This was one of the best vacations we have ever been on! The house was perfect! We loved being right on the beach! It was so convenient with the kids! The kayaks and paddle boards kept the kids entertained all week! We had a bonfire on the beach one night which was so much fun! The house had everything we needed and so many extras that you don’t get other places! The owner, Peter and manager, Jim we’re both very helpful with everything we needed! We hope to stay at Two Palms again in the future 🙂
